Based within a team known for its independence, objectivity, and depth of analysis, you will play a meaningful role in shaping research output, client engagement, and analytical excellence across a dynamic and fast-moving sector. This is an opportunity to apply your equity research expertise in an environment where your work directly influences investment decisions and client relationships worldwide.## Responsibilities* Produce and contribute to equity research publications including earnings previews and recaps, initiation reports, and in-depth thematic notes across the Software sector.* Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for covered Software companies, including the development of new models and upkeep of relative value frameworks.* Advise and respond to client inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, delivering timely, accurate, and well-reasoned analysis.* Coordinate investor events including management meetings, field trips, and industry consultant calls, ensuring seamless execution and strong client experience.* Collaborate with senior analysts to develop research ideas and translate complex financial data into clear, actionable investment insights.* Apply sound judgment when assessing the reputational and regulatory implications of business decisions, upholding Citi's standards of compliance and ethical conduct.* Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a high-performance research culture built on knowledge sharing and analytical rigor.## Required Qualifications & Skills* 5–8 years of experience in equity research or a closely related investment analysis role.* Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial modelling, applied within an equity research context.* Demonstrated experience supporting senior equity research analysts in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and validate complex, multi-source financial information accurately.* Active FINRA licenses: SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87, or the ability and commitment to obtain and maintain these licenses.* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.## Beneficial Skills & Qualifications* MBA, graduate degree, or CFA designation — or active progress toward one.* Sector knowledge or prior coverage experience within the Software or Technology industry.* Experience taking an informal leadership role within a research team, including involvement in coaching or onboarding colleagues.Apply today and bring your equity research expertise to a global team where your analysis shapes the investment decisions of clients around the world.------------------------------------------------------## **Job Family Group:**Research------------------------------------------------------## **Job Family:**Research Analysis------------------------------------------------------## **Time Type:**Full time------------------------------------------------------## **Primary Location:**New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------## **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:**$150,000.00 - $175,000.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
