Production Planner/Scheduler

Job Purpose In a team‑based environment, the Production Planner will provide a critical link and work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing to adequately support all planning activities in a timely manner. Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities Performs scheduling functions involved with managing work orders, coordinating product and material movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment. Reviews backlog to determine material shortages and capacity requirements to provide commitments feedback to the customer. Coordinates the efficient expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, production and engineering; proactively identifies areas of potential supply concerns, considering capacity constraints and shortages, and communicates analysis and recommendations to all affected parties. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions related to material planning and production scheduling. A working knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response Advanced planning systems is a plus and highly desirable. Education And Experience BS/AA degree with APICS training; advanced planning systems knowledge is a plus. 2+ years experience as a Production Planner or equivalent. Ideal candidate must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent Oracle 11i, MS‑Excel, MS‑Office and MRP knowledge is a must. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Salary Range (annual): $70,000 - $80,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, education, certifications and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
