AFSIM Developer - Relocation Bonus!

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking an AFSIM Developer to support advanced modeling and simulation efforts for the U.S. Navy based in Crane, Indiana. This full- time onsite role is critical in advancing mission-ready simulation capabilities, ensuring high-fidelity modeling and integration of multi-domain operations. Applicants must possess a Secret Clearance for consideration – higher clearance level can be held. Key Responsibilities Develop, customize, and integrate models within the AFSIM framework. Design and implement simulation capabilities using Python, C/C++, and MATLAB. Build and maintain threat models, flight path models, and Electronic Warfare (EW) effects within simulation environments. Support Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and strategic deterrence modeling initiatives. Perform model integration, testing, validation, and verification (VV&T) activities. Collaborate with Navy warfare centers, national laboratories, and industry partners to deliver advanced M&S solutions. Contribute to rapid prototyping and development of next-generation simulation capabilities. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate simulation frameworks into mission-focused environments. Apply strong software engineering practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions. Qualifications Active Secret Clearance, TS/SCI preferred. Hands-on experience developing within AFSIM or similar modeling and simulation environments. Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and/or MATLAB. Experience with M&S tools such as AFSIM, STK, NGTS, or Builder. Background in software development, systems engineering, and model integration. Experience with model validation, verification, and testing. Preferred Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance. Experience supporting EMSO, Electronic Warfare (EW), or Nuclear Triad modeling efforts. Knowledge of threat modeling, mission-level simulation, and flight path development. Experience with rapid prototyping in advanced defense R&D environments. Prior experience supporting DoD laboratories, warfare centers, or military simulation programs.
