The Bulk Operator (Level I) is responsible for safely supporting the transportation, loading, unloading, inspection, and handling of bulk materials, equipment, and related workover and completions assets under the direction of a supervisor or experienced operator. This entry-level bulk operations role supports safe movement of equipment between Axis facilities, customer locations, and field sites and may assist shop, rig, and field crews when business needs, training, and work experience requirements are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties. These duties are considered essential because the position exists to support safe transportation, equipment handling, inspection, documentation, and field support functions.

- Assists with maintaining cement trucks, bulk trailers, and related transport equipment for field assignments.
- Transports or assists with transporting equipment between Axis facilities, customer locations, and field sites as assigned.
- Performs required pre-trip and post-trip inspections on designated vehicles and equipment and reports concerns promptly.
- Performs assigned transportation duties using approved methods, processes, and safety expectations.
- Assists with equipment inspections on location prior to job completion.
- Assists with securing loads and confirms securement requirements with a supervisor or qualified operator when needed.
- Documents each transport and/or pickup on a field ticket or other required record.
- Logs hours of service each day, as applicable to assigned duties and DOT requirements.
- Picks up and/or delivers shop supplies, rig supplies, or rig equipment with an approved vehicle as assigned.
- May assist as additional relief on field equipment as designated by operations management; eligibility is dependent on work history, training, experience, and business need.
- Follows and supports all Axis PPE policies, including proper selection and use of required PPE.
- Uses stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or situations are observed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor within 24 hours of any driving violations on or off work.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Valid, active state-issued Class A CDL required; tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred based on assigned equipment, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving, oilfield, bulk transport, or related equipment handling experience preferred; equivalent training or demonstrated readiness may be considered.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices, equipment inspection, load securement, and following supervisor direction required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to climb ladders or other access devices up to 20 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl, kneel, and walk as needed for field and shop assignments.
- Must be able to satisfy DOT physical requirements and any job-related, post-offer physical, drug screen, respiratory clearance, audiogram, vision test, and functional capacity evaluation requirements, as applicable to the position and consistent with law.
- Reliable communication and transportation required.
- Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing safe, reliable, and professional service to internal and external customers.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and team lift up to 100 lbs. as needed.
- Stand approximately 6 hours, sit approximately 4 hours, and walk approximately 4 hours during a typical 12-hour shift.
- Frequently bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and climb ladders or equipment access points up to 20 ft.
- Safely operate and handle bulk equipment, transport vehicles, hand tools, and related field equipment as assigned and within training level.
- Demonstrate job-related grip strength of approximately 80-100 lbs. for secure load handling, tool use, and equipment operation.
- Work in high-noise environments requiring hearing protection and in areas where respiratory clearance may be required due to H2S or hazardous material exposure.
- Work a typical 12-hour shift on a 14/7 rotation schedule, with travel based on business and field assignment needs.
- Maintain adequate vision and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to safely drive, communicate, inspect equipment, and work around oil and gas well service operations.
