Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $80K - $110K/Annum plus benefits

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to support engineering projects involving industrial process instrumentation, control systems, and automation. This role will work closely with project and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions within established project schedules and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate engineering documentation and project deliverables related to instrumentation, control valves, control logic, and operator interface graphics.
• Execute instrumentation and controls engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, schedules, and quality expectations.
• Develop instrumentation specifications and support the selection and application of instrumentation and control valves for industrial projects.
• Apply recognized industry standards and engineering practices to instrumentation and controls design.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and startup activities as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.
• Travel may be required, including international travel and extended assignments of up to approximately four weeks at a time. Total travel may reach approximately three months per year, particularly during project startup periods.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, capital projects, manufacturing, process engineering with instrumentation exposure, or instrumentation technician roles.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience reading or developing P&IDs, instrumentation specifications, control valve and primary element sizing, location plans, installation details, and wiring/interconnection diagrams.
• Practical knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Working knowledge of PLC and DCS interfaces.
• Ability to independently lead instrumentation design activities and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Field experience with instrumentation commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with design, testing, FAT, and startup of industrial process automation systems.
• Ability to develop and implement engineering standards and specifications for instrumentation and control systems.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with engineering, simulation, drawing markup, and instrumentation sizing/specification software.
• Experience with commonly used industrial instrumentation, control valve, PLC, and DCS platforms.
• Experience with major instrumentation and automation technology manufacturers is preferred.
• Industrial process, manufacturing, or capital project experience is a plus.
