Overview Pediatric Cardiology The Pediatric Cardiology Physician will: We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiologist to join our multidisciplinary cardiac care team at The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital. About Our Pediatric Cardiac Center As a state-designated acute care children's hospital, our dedicated team of board-certified pediatric cardiologists, cardiac nurse practitioners, and cardiac technologists provides comprehensive cardiovascular services for infants, children, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease, arrhythmias, and electrical disorders. We treat: Congenital heart defects, heart murmurs, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, rheumatic fever, Kawasaki disease, cardiomyopathies, and valvular disorders. Our Pediatric Cardiac Center provides consultative services throughout the hospital, including our renowned Level IV NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Emergency Department. We coordinate advanced cardiology and cardiothoracic surgical services. Why Join Us Clinical Excellence: One of the largest, most advanced NICUs in the country State-designated Regional Perinatal Center Advanced cardiac diagnostic capabilities including echo, fetal echo, cardiac MRI/CT Pediatric cardiac catheterization laboratory Magnet-designated facility Location: New Brunswick, NJ - 45 minutes to NYC by train, 45 minutes to beaches, one hour to Philadelphia Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired heart diseases in patients from neonatal period through young adulthood Perform and interpret echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, and fetal echocardiograms Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations as appropriate Provide inpatient consultations across NICU, PICU, medical/surgical units, and Emergency Department Manage outpatient cardiology clinic for chronic cardiac conditions Coordinate care with pediatric cardiac surgeons and subspecialists Participate in fetal cardiology program with prenatal consultations Counsel families about diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term management Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac team; participate in quality improvement initiatives What We Offer Practice Structure: Full-time position with flexible on-call schedule and after-hours call center support. Board certification or eligibility from the appropriate specialty or subspecialty board. Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance MD or DO licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey CDS and DEA licensed or eligible for licensure Preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS certification; advanced echocardiography experience; Interest in fetal cardiology, interventional procedures, or electrophysiology Full-time clinical base compensation at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System ranges from 120,000.00 - 750,000.00 USD, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
