Job Overview Privacy Counsel – the Legal Counsel focused on privacy issues within GoodRx’s fast‑growing team, reporting to the Director, Privacy Compliance Programs. The role involves staying current on data privacy laws, collaborating across teams, and supporting the Privacy Program. Responsibilities Advise on privacy assessments and product‑related matters. Develop and maintain training, playbooks, and FAQ libraries. Provide project‑level strategic legal advice on data privacy and security. Monitor, brief, and advise on emerging privacy laws and regulatory developments; lead policy updates and internal work‑plans. Review marketing initiatives to ensure compliance with data protection laws. Support privacy program and risk‑management processes. Draft, negotiate, and review privacy and data‑security terms in contracts, including data processing agreements and data protection provisions. Manage vendor offboarding and vendor‑privacy management. Qualifications JD, admission to a state bar, and at least 3years of in‑house or law‑firm experience in data privacy. Deep knowledge of CCPA, TCPA, CAN‑SPAM, and emerging data‑privacy regulations. Experience advising on direct‑to‑consumer product and marketing initiatives from a privacy perspective. Proven track record drafting and negotiating data‑protection agreements. Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment; capable of driving projects end‑to‑end. Healthcare industry experience (direct‑to‑consumer healthcare) is a plus. Benefits & Compensation Salary ranges vary by location: SanFrancisco and Seattle $190,000–305,000; NewYork $174,000–279,000; SantaMonica $158,000–254,000; Other locations $142,000–229,000. Additional compensation includes annual cash bonus or commission and equity grants.
