Pulmonologist Opportunity At Beth Israel Deaconess PlymouthBeth Israel Deaconess (BID) Plymouth is seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pulmonologist to join our medical team at a well-established community hospital in one of Massachusetts' most desirable coastal suburbs. BID Plymouth is a 175-bed community hospital located within 45 miles of downtown Boston.In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to enhance patient outcomes. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving respiratory health.Responsibilities include:Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostics for patients with pulmonary disorders including asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung diseaseDevelop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in pulmonary medicinePerform procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis as well as interpretation of pulmonary function tests.Collaborate with other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care and management.Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.The primary role for this position is in the pulmonary specialty with optional role as an intensi vist (1:5 weekly call schedule) in the BID - Plymouth Critical Care Unit.Required and preferred qualifications include:MD or DO degree from an accredited medical schoolBoard certification in Pulmonary MedicineStrong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered careExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in interpreting advanced pulmonary diagnostic tests (preferred)Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systemsExperience with telemedicine platforms for hybrid patient consultations (preferred)Join Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP), a network of practitioners committed to providing community care close to home and delivering world-class medical expertise in the communities it serves.
