Registered Nurse (RN)Emergency Department – Travel/Agency AssignmentPatient Volume & StaffingCurrently averaging 15–18 patients per weekMaximum nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4Charting SystemEPowerDocResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions.Perform rapid assessments, prioritize patient care, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes using the EPowerDoc electronic medical record.Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other emergency situations while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.QualificationsCurrent, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.Strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, and multitasking skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Physical RequirementsMust be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and assist with patient transfers and resuscitative efforts.
