Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering

Your career matters to us because your passion and excitement will help keep our company moving forward.As the Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering, you will lead the development of facility layouts and designs, labor standards, staffing and efficiency analyses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while supporting operational implementations.Pay, benefits and more.We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and more.What you’ll do on a typical day:Hire, train and develop industrial engineering staff; provide technical support and direction to site industrial engineers and managersDevelop labor standards, process flow diagrams and job descriptions for new and existing operationsConduct time study analyses to estimate facility staffing requirements and establish production standardsIdentify, evaluate and implement productivity improvementsDocument processes to facilitate operational startups and provide on-site support as requiredConvert contract documents and SOWs into work instructions and operating proceduresAnalyze ongoing costs and compare them to prior cost and pricing estimatesSelect appropriate models for receiving, put-away, picking and packing solutionsIdentify storage and picking strategies based on product dimensions and activity levelsIdentify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product envelopes, product flow, transportation methods, building layout and power requirementsSpecify material handling and storage equipment solutions, including automation where justifiedCollaborate with IT resources to develop equipment requirements based on activity levelsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience5+ years of experience working in a warehouse, distribution or 3PL environmentExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)Experience with Labor Management Systems (LMS)Project management experience, including leading projects from concept through completionExperience with Lean Methodology and AutoCADFamiliarity with Six Sigma practices and principlesIt’d be great if you also have:Advanced degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field7 years of industrial engineering experience in a distribution environment2 years of supervisory or management experienceSQL experienceWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
