Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to CTICU patients, including post-cardiac surgery and management of cardiogenic shock and related diagnoses.
- Monitor hemodynamics, invasive lines, and ventilator status; titrate vasoactive infusions as ordered; respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; ensure sterile technique and infection control practices.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiothoracic team; participate in rounds; communicate clearly with families regarding care plans.
- Document comprehensive patient information in the EPIC electronic medical record; ensure accurate and timely charting.
- Maintain patient safety and quality standards, including ongoing assessment and escalation of concerns as needed.

Requirements
- 2+ years of Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) or related ICU nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Travel experience required; willing to travel for a temporary assignment
- Night shift capability in a CTICU environment
- 75-mile travel radius policy with locals eligible for a reduced rate
