POSITION TITLE Facilities Manager LOCATION Districtwide QUALIFICATIONS Certification : N/A Education : Required – Associate’s Degree; Preferred – Associate’s Degree with courses in building maintenance. Experience : Required – Five (5) years in related field, management and supervisory experience, extensive experience in HVAC systems, associated equipment, security systems including building access programs and security cameras, Facilities Scheduling, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, inventory control, purchasing, school accounting and coding bills. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises, plans, directs, trains, and evaluates Operations and Facilities staff. Recommends the hiring, transfer or termination of staff. Has authority to discipline employees. Has authority to adjust level one grievances. Prepares written evaluations annually. Manages a Preventative Maintenance Program. Manages procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to ensure a safe, secure, and properly maintained environment. Inspects the District grounds and buildings frequently to ensure a safe and secure environment. Promotes team development through effective communication and positive leadership. Assists the Director of Operations and Facilities in establishing and maintaining the department budget, including review of bills for accuracy and proper accounting. Manages staffing for all school events. Maintains District assets inventory and equipment list for all supplies, furniture, equipment, machinery, and vehicles. Manages District sustainable initiatives as recommended by the District's Sustainability Committee. Ensures that the District's Facilities Scheduling system for all district events is utilized effectively to support staff needs. OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations and Facilities or designee. Assists in other areas as needed. Completes other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Technical: Must be proficient with technology including computers, cell phones, email, Microsoft Office, Google platform, printers, and phones. Interpersonal: Must have excellent communication skills, work collaboratively with a team, make difficult decisions that impact learning, work harmoniously with students, parents, staff, and administration, exhibit sound judgment in dealing with people, and have strong organizational skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Manual Dexterity: Requires skilled and accurate physical operations with coordinated performance. Physical Effort: Requires handling materials or equipment up to 50 lbs., but not for sustained periods; must be able to stoop, climb, reach, and travel to other district buildings and conferences as needed. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Full-time, twelve month (260 days), Exempt Status. SALARY RANGE $95,000 - $105,000, based on experience and education.
