About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead and drive the success of fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for putting their proven sales and relationship management skills to work, with a focus on achieving revenue goals through positive engagement with staff and community volunteer leaders. This role requires the ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key community and corporate partners, particularly in the peer-to-peer fundraising space. The Vice President will also be tasked with coaching and inspiring their team to build successful event growth strategies and will work closely with chapter and cross-functional leadership to develop comprehensive development strategies that align with the organization's mission. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a preference for a degree in sales or business. A minimum of 7 years of proven leadership experience in diversified fundraising programs, particularly in the peer-to-peer and mass market event space, is required. The role demands a candidate with a strong track record in networking and cultivating key community and corporate leaders, as well as experience in strategic planning, budget management, and supervising fundraising staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will be known for their ability to unite and build inclusive team environments, and their experience in providing inspirational leadership should be reflected in a history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and fundraising applications is essential, and the candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule and travel extensively.
