Work you'll do As a PROJECT - Data Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for… Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes and workflows supporting client data integration needsDevelop and optimize data transformation logic, SQL queries, stored procedures, and database processes to improve performance and reliabilityImplement data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance processes to support data accuracy and consistencyAutomate data integration processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencyMonitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies, and provide production support for data-related issuesDevelop and maintain technical documentation for ETL workflows, data processes, and support procedures A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to provide clear guidance to others The team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) practice - our people, ideas, technology and outcomes - is designed for impact. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or another technical field8+ years of experience in ETL development, data integration, or data engineeringExperience using Structured Query Language (SQL), relational database management systems, and stored proceduresExperience using ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or InformaticaExperience applying data integration, data transformation, and data quality principles in human services programs, systems, or environmentsAbility to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
