You will design and build standardized ETL processes used to populate the data warehouse and feed data to stakeholders and business partners. You will also design and develop dashboards and reports that are distributed throughout the organization and to external partners.How will you drive value within the organization as a Data Developer?Design, build, enhance, and maintain fault-tolerant batch-based and real-time ETL processes to make new and existing data sources readily available to analysts, applications, and external business partnersDesign and build data warehouses/data lakes/data marts to provide easy access to structured and semi-structured data for analysts and data scientistsDesign, build, enhance, and maintain Power BI and SSRS reports and dashboards working from specification documents and/or direct interaction with business usersAutomate manual data processes and optimize user queriesDecipher existing reports and database processes to assist users, analysts, and data stewards in understanding reportsSet up internal and external secure data exchanges using industry-standard encryption techniquesImplement data security measures to protect PII and other sensitive informationIntegrate processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality and system stability as prescribed by the data governance teamComplete work with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, and maintainabilityWhat should you already know to be successful as a Data Developer?Minimum of bachelor’s degree requiredProfessional or educational experience in ETL, Business Intelligence, or Statistical Analytics requiredStrong understanding of SQL including basic joins, inserts, updates, deletes, conditional logic, subqueries, temp tables, and data transformation functionsProficient knowledge of relational database management systems requiredExperience reviewing datasets for data quality requiredExperience with un- or semi-structured data (ex. XML, JSON) preferredExperience with any data integration tool preferredExperience with reporting platform like Power BI and SSRS preferredExperience with different data security algorithms preferredIntrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness Strong verbal and written communication skillsTeam player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment Commitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competencies Employment Requirements:This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, days and hours of work are flexible between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per weekSignificant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity.Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday.Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment Job functions involve sedentary to light physical effort. Physical demands range from sitting, walking, standing, or pushing or pulling materials.
