Linux Systems Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a Level 2 (L2) Linux System Engineer to support and maintain client Linux server environments. This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, patching, vulnerability remediation, and ensuring overall system performance and stability. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role responsible for resolving escalated issues and maintaining secure, reliable infrastructure. Hands‑on experience supporting: Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) System administration (users, permissions, services, networking) Patch management tools (yum/dnf/apt) Experience with vulnerability remediation and security best practices. Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills across identity, virtualization, and storage layers. Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to clients. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field OR an Associate’s degree (AA/AS) with equivalent practical experience. Experience with VMware or Hyper‑V Familiarity with automation/scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible) Experience with security and monitoring tools (e.g., Defender, Tenable) Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, Security+) Experience supporting multi‑site or hybrid environments.
