Quality InspectorLocation: Portland, ORPay: $24/HR to $35/HRJob Description:Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined componentsUse inspection tools including CMM's, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and optical comparatorsOperating and understanding of CMMs (ZEISS Calypso or similar)Read and interpret complex engineering drawings with tight tolerances and GD&TDocument inspection results clearly and accuratelyWork closely with machinists and programmers to prevent quality issues and support a right-first-time mindsetMaintain control of inspection tools and gauge calibration statusSupport generation of FAIRs and inspection reports as neededSkills & Qualifications:4+ years of experience in precision inspection for a CNC or machine shop environmentStrong grasp of dimensional inspection techniques and GD&TProficient with hand tools and comparatorsDetail-oriented with strong documentation skillsReliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervisionExperience with AS9102 First Article Inspection ReportsFamiliarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systemsExposure to aerospace or Medical machining environmentsShift / Work Environment:Day Shift: 5am start time! Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
