Physical Therapist I: Per Diem Late Afternoon, Evenings, MMC IP

Job Description Are you an experienced inpatient Physical Therapist who is looking for a per diem opportunity in a Nationally Recognized Hospital? Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist for the Inpatient PT Department at Morristown Medical Center to provide their time and expertise on various weekdays in the evenings and for at least two weekend days per month. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who will provide exceptional care to our patients. Principal Accountabilities Patient evaluation Establishing plans of care and treatment programs Providing interventions Patient and family education Documenting interventions and billing appropriately Supporting Lead Clinicians in competency development and implementation Participating in orientation of new staff members Serving as a clinical instructor for students Exercising independent judgement of moderately complex cases with minimal to no supervision Qualifications Required : New Jersey License to practice Physical Therapy Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program Position requires safe patient handling; must be able to provide required support during transitions, transfers, ambulation, stairs and other activities. In unanticipated situations, must be able to safely lower the patient to the floor.
