Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required License: Active RN license in hand required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous travel experience required Epic proficiency required Experience caring for neurology/stroke patients required Description: Client is located in a beautiful coastal region, offering a variety of outdoor activities. The assignment details focus on a MedSurg Neuro and Stroke unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:7. Every other weekend, holidays, and floating within the contract are required. Longer assignments may be available but are not mandatory. Candidates must work two of the three winter holidays. The facility seeks an individual who is comfortable with patient ratios and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are necessary. Candidates will not be considered if there are any background or license hits. All candidates must ensure their history is thoroughly reviewed before submission. Active licensure in hand is non-negotiable. Fit testing history impacting patient care may eliminate a candidate from consideration. Candidates should be prepared for EKG testing, as it is mandatory for the role. The test assesses critical rhythm interpretations. Modules are required to be completed before the start of the assignment. Candidates must ensure proficiency in accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, and telemetry monitoring. The unit views interdisciplinary support as essential for optimal patient care. This opportunity is suitable for RNs experienced in acute care settings with specialties in neurology or stroke care.
