Our hospital brings Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Dermatology, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, and Urgent Care together with a highly trained support team, creating an environment where specialists can collaborate closely on complex cases and provide comprehensive patient care. Competitive compensation Relocation assistance for qualified candidates Potential travel assistance for qualified candidates interviewing for the position Health, dental, and vision insurance FSA/HSA options CE allowance and professional development support Paid professional licensing and membership support Professional liability insurance 401(k) with employer match Life insurance Short- and long-term disability Paid vacation and sick leave Dedicated, highly trained support team Access to the broader Ethos Veterinary Health specialty network Opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and leadership development In your day-to-day, you will: Provide advanced dentistry and oral surgery services for a diverse and complex referral caseload Perform comprehensive oral examinations, diagnostic workups, and individualized treatment planning Perform advanced dental and oral surgical procedures utilizing the hospital’s modern surgical infrastructure and imaging capabilities Utilize CT, digital radiography, endoscopy, and other advanced diagnostics to support complex oral and maxillofacial cases Collaborate closely with Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Emergency & Critical Care, and other specialty teams on multidisciplinary cases Work alongside the hospital’s experienced emergency and critical care team when managing complex or medically compromised patients Develop strong relationships with referring veterinarians and serve as a trusted resource for advanced dentistry and oral surgery throughout the region Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, prognosis, and ongoing care Mentor technicians and support staff in advanced dental procedures, anesthesia considerations, patient monitoring, and postoperative care Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Dentistry and Oral Surgery service Participate in continuing education and knowledge-sharing opportunities within SOVSC and the broader Ethos network Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture focused on exceptional patient care and clinical excellence What You Bring DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Oregon veterinary licensure Board Certification in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery (DAVDC) or residency trained in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery and board eligible Strong clinical and surgical skills with an interest in complex dentistry and oral surgery cases Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care An interest in mentoring technicians and collaborating with colleagues across multiple specialties A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine Join Us At Ethos, this isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to practice medicine at the highest level and help shape the future of veterinary care.
