Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to critically ill patients in a 20-bed Medical ICU setting
• Manage patients with complex medical conditions including respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic shock
• Administer and monitor IV drips as required across all assigned floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to various units and campuses as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport, paramedics, and LPNs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Nebraska RN state license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting required
• Ability and willingness to float frequently to various units to meet facility staffing needs
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (considered in lieu of standard first-timer restriction)
