We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate person to join our imaging team. This is a full time position. The hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday, and two Saturdays a month. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of internal organs, tissues, and vascular structures. This role requires strong technical skills, patient care expertise, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care & Preparation
  • Welcome and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and answering questions.
  • Position patients appropriately and ensure their comfort during the exam.
  • Review patient history and verify physician orders.
  • Imaging & Equipment Operation
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Adjust technical settings and select appropriate transducers for each exam.
  • Perform Doppler and vascular studies as required.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Follow infection control and ultrasound safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with radiologists and physicians to review images and provide preliminary observations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Maintenance & Quality Assurance
  • Perform routine equipment checks and cleaning.
  • Report any equipment issues promptly and assist in troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Certification: ARDMS or equivalent required; BLS/CPR certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of ultrasound experience in a clinical or imaging center setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular ultrasound.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
