Job Title: General Production Job Description

Join our team in a crucial role where you will perform visual inspections of cables as they come off the line, tag broken or dysfunctional wires, and utilize a pallet jack to move materials throughout the facility. You will assist in various areas of the manufacturing plant, including palletizing, packing, moving materials, general cleaning, and helping where needed.

• Experience with pallet jacks.
• General production experience.

• Machine operating experience is a plus.
• Being bilingual is advantageous.
• Computer proficiency is beneficial.

The work is conducted in a fast-paced environment within a facility that produces large cables for power companies. The facility is undergoing expansion and features an inventory area, shipping department, and manufacturing department. The environment can be hot in summer and cold in winter, so steel-toed boots, long pants, and work-appropriate attire are required. The machinery is large and somewhat dated, contributing to a unique production process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valparaiso, IN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
