Job Title:Safety Engineer

Duration: 06 Months (Possible Extension/Direct Hire)

Job Location: Welcome, NC 27374 (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $56.00 per hour

Shift Timing: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible / Plant-dependent; may include weekends or installation-based shifts)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mid-Level Safety Engineer to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Welcome, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in safety and environmental compliance, risk assessments, accident investigations, and ISO standards implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Safety, Environmental, EHS, or Engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA).
  • Experience conducting accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environments preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation of compliance requirements.
  • Maintain EHS metrics, analyze trends, and provide data for management reviews.
  • Support implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective actions.
  • Perform EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in external compliance and loss prevention audits.
  • Coordinate corrective actions resulting from audits and risk assessments.
  • Assist with environmental permitting requirements related to air, water, and land regulations.
  • Serve as backup contact for government EHS inquiries.
  • Support Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S initiatives.
  • Participate in site Safety & Environmental Committee activities.
