Job Description The Production Supervisor leads, coordinates, and manages all aspects of production activities to achieve optimal cost management and on‑time completion for customer orders. Essential Functions Supervises various departments within manufacturing areas, including machining. Enforces company policies (Conduct, Quality, Safety) and trains/coaches employees. Uses cascade communication to inform others of problems and holds daily communication meetings. Provides status updates on projects, production, and other reports. Administers company policies in hiring, promotion, discipline, in coordination with HR and Management. Optimizes processes, reduces cost, and increases productivity; participates in continuous improvement and cost‑reduction projects. Leads change using Lean Manufacturing techniques and engages the team through Lean culture. Trains personnel on manufacturing and tooling blueprints and work orders. Implements controls to ensure quality products are delivered on schedule. Ensures compliance with quality requirements, Statistical Process Control, documentation, and computer transactions. Analyzes production reports, conducts audits, and coaches employees as needed. Reviews Engineering Change Orders and participates in Material Review Board. Conducts root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Coordinates with inventory, shipping, and planning to process work orders. Conducts time studies, establishes work methods and workflow, and maintains accurate production records. Ensures safety standards are followed and safety remains a top priority. Physical Demands Employee must sit, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as required. Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision with focus adjustment. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of CNC machines with multiple material types. Preferred Education and Experience Five to ten years industry experience in aerospace fastener manufacturing. Working knowledge of ISO9000, D19000A, and SPC. Bilingual: English/Spanish. This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
