SERVER (HARBOR EAST)

Server Position

Kneads Bakeshop is expanding and preparing to open a new location in Navy Yard, Washington, DC. We are seeking a dynamic and friendly individual to join our team as a Server. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a delightful dining experience for our restaurant settings. Your primary duties will include greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

Serve food and drinks promptly and with attention to presentation.

Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs throughout their dining experience.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing and sanitizing tables.

Assist with packaging bakery items and presenting them attractively to customers.

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Provide recommendations and information about menu items, specials, and bakery offerings.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and served correctly.

Always adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Assist with opening and closing tasks as needed.

Previous experience in customer service or food service role preferred.

Passion for food and providing exceptional hospitality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Basic math skills for handling transactions.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
