People and Culture Administrator- Part Time

HR Administrator

The HR Administrator supports the People & Culture team in delivering efficient and consistent HR services across Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO). This role will focus on onboarding coordination, camp staff licensing and compliance tasks, and a variety of HR administrative duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and committed to a high standard of support for internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support new hire onboarding processes, including offer letters, background checks, system entries, and orientation scheduling
• Maintain digital employee files and documentation in alignment with organizational and licensing standards
• Assist with seasonal staff hiring and compliance tracking for camp licensing, including documentation collection, audits, and reporting
• Track employee leave requests and documentation in coordination with People and Culture leadership.
• Maintain leave tracking spreadsheets and assist with communication regarding leave timelines and procedures.
• Respond to general HR-related inquiries and support day-to-day operations across the department
• Enter and update employee data in HRIS and other internal systems as needed
• Draft and edit documents, spreadsheets, and templates to support HR activities and process improvement
• Provide administrative support for projects and initiatives of the People and Culture Department

Primary Cross-Functional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Payroll, IT, and Risk Management teams to support seamless employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Work in partnership with camp directors and seasonal leadership to track and maintain required staff records throughout the camp season.

Job Qualifications:

Education and/or Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, HR, or related field preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years of administrative or HR support experience
• Experience in nonprofit or seasonal workforce settings a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfort learning HR systems.
• Familiarity with leave management and/or camp licensing requirements a plus

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
• HR Information Systems (e.g., PrismHR, TimeCo, ClearCompany, JazzHR, or similar platforms)
• Zoom or other video conferencing platforms
• Telephone, email, and online messaging tools for internal communication

Working Environment & Physical Activities:

• Work may be performed remotely, in-office, or hybrid, depending on organizational needs.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during onboarding or camp season.
