As a contract Special Education Teacher, you’ll work directly with students to deliver individualized instruction, foster skill development, and create inclusive, engaging classroom experiences.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Passion for supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ unique abilities
• Develop, modify, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and support staff
• Foster a supportive and positive classroom environment
• Employ evidence-based strategies to engage students and maximize learning
• Monitor progress, assess student performance, and report on outcomes
• Communicate regularly with families, paraprofessionals, and service providers
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
