We are seeking a Quality Inspector with strong mechanical tool inspection knowledge to inspect machined parts at our Cedar Park, TX manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations—visual, dimensional, and functional—making necessary critical observations, tests, and documenting observations as required. Day shift and work is performed onsite. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections on components. Perform source inspections at facilities. Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents. Review inspection records received for compliance. Maintain inspection and measuring equipment. Prepare and coordinate Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts. Perform other work‑related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Facility Responsibilities Perform in‑process, final, and receiving inspection; work with inspectors and manufacturing employees in other inspection areas. Inspections are made against drawing, specification and/or instructions. Accountable for product/process incoming and/or final inspection activities required for purchased and manufactured parts, respectively. Care for all company tools and measuring equipment before, during and after use. Ensure all gauges are calibrated, clean, and free of rust, and traceable to their assigned storage location. Maintain accurate inspection records according to established procedures. Identify discrepancies and prepare non‑conformity reports. Observe safety regulations, wear required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, and correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to supervisors. Qualifications / Requirements HS Diploma or GED or equivalent, required. 3‑year related experience and/or training, required. Good interpersonal and communication skills, required. Proficient with mechanical inspection tools and techniques. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening, required. Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting 25 lbs. regularly. Must perform inspection work for extended periods that may involve sitting, bending, stooping, standing, and repetitive arm, shoulder, and hand movements. Good work ethics in attendance, dependability, orderliness, and teamwork. Experience measuring API and/or ACME threads is preferred. ASQ certification (inspector) preferred. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment; frequent lifting of materials and product up to 40 lbs. Use of safety equipment: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Stand 65% of the time; work under immediate supervision. Typical reporting to a supervisor/manager. Exposure to fumes, vapors, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration; intermittent loud sounds.
