HR Generalist

Overview The HR Generalist supports the full scope of human resources functions to ensure a positive, productive, and compliant workplace. This role serves as a key partner to employees and managers serving as the first point of contact for HR related questions. PTO, holiday pay and holiday of choice 401(k) match Life insurance Short-term disability Health, dental and vision insurance Maternity/paternity leave Health savings account (HSA) Flex spending accounts (FSA) – health and dependent Responsibilities Conduct in person and virtual orientations and process new hires in applicable systems (HRIS, I-9/E-Verify) Maintain employee files and records in electronic format Serve as the first point of contact for employee/manager questions or concerns about process, policy, procedure, compensation, benefits, and performance or conduct Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and partnering with HRBP and business leaders on conflict resolution and employee engagement activities Handle tier 1 employee relations issues and work towards amicable solutions with the business leader and HR Business Partner Evaluate and escalate employee concerns requiring additional intervention to the HRBP or Employee Relations team Support employee questions around leave and elevate to the HR Business Partner when necessary Drive continuous improvement in HR programs, proactively making recommendations for improvements in a manner consistent with the company’s mission values Ensure employee and site compliance with company policies Encourage people and culture practices that promote retention of key talent Support employee offboarding for low-risk terminations (termination letter, termination processing‑HRIS, badge access removal, personal item removal) Respond to unemployment claims and fact‑finding interviews Qualifications Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or minimum of 5+ years of Human Resources related experience Knowledge of general HR practices Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and work streams to deliver quality results Experience with HR systems to include timekeeping, payroll, benefits, etc. Strong customer service skills Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Strong presentation and communication skills Experience utilizing productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and SharePoint Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field Bilingual (English/Spanish) SHRM Certification Experience in Manufacturing and/or Healthcare industry Physical Requirements Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Company Overview Mom’s Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide since 1999.
