High Acuity OB Hospitalist Practice within Beautiful Pacific Northwest

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist (OBGYN Hospitalist) to join a high‑acuity, high‑autonomy practice in Spokane, WA. This is a dynamic environment ideal for physicians who thrive in independent decision‑making roles and enjoy managing complex obstetric care.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within MuliCare Deaconess Hospital, which services approximately 1,800 deliveries annually and includes a level III NICU for advanced care.
• Manage a full inpatient role with consistent exposure to complex, high‑risk obstetric cases.
• Provide 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage, including OB emergency department management, labor management, and obstetric emergencies.
• Manage unassigned and high‑risk patients, including Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) patients.
• Serve in a high‑volume transport‑in center, providing care to Spokane and surrounding communities.

Practice Structure

• Part of a five‑physician hospitalist team open to part‑time or full‑time candidates.
• Independent provider model with full clinical decision‑making authority.
• Collaborative culture with strong subspecialty support and partnership with Rockwood OBGYN and community health organizations.

Qualifications

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in OB/GYN.
• Comfortable practicing independently in a solo coverage model.
• Strong procedural skillset and confidence in acute care scenarios.
• Experience with high‑acuity obstetric care preferred.

Compensation

Starting pay: $160 per hour.
