We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will play a crucial role in the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for various events and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality audio-visual experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Setup and Operation:
- Install, set up, and operate audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, microphones, and video screens.
- Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of equipment before and during events.
Event Support:
- Provide on-site technical support during events, conferences, and presentations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure a seamless experience for clients and event attendees.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance on audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and address any equipment malfunctions or defects, coordinating repairs as necessary.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest audio-visual technologies and industry trends.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for equipment upgrades or improvements.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with event planners, organizers, and other staff to understand audio-visual requirements for each event.
- Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure a seamless and coordinated audio-visual experience.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, configurations, and maintenance history.
- Create and update documentation for standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, systems, and technologies.
- Proficiency in operating soundboards, video switchers, and related equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events.
Education: Ascociate's degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Broadcasting, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Skills:
- Familiarity with audio-visual software and applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
