Job Title: Maintenance Technician A | Req ID: 16278 | HR Contact: Sheena WATSON | Location: Building Envelope - Norcross, GA About The Role The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. This position has a six month probationary period to gain the knowledge and complete the skills checklist to attain top out. What You Will Be Doing Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock checkout processes Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably Required High school diploma Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee Performing preventive (planned) and corrective (unplanned) maintenance Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas Mechanical Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc. Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc. Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc. Electrical DC Circuits – relays, contactors, power supplies, etc. AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc. Process Control Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc. PLCs & Networking – communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc. Desired Associate’s degree or 2+ years of vocational training Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.) Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) SCHEDULE Monday - Friday either 4am - 12:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm/ OT as required Pay $38.06 What We Offer Competitive salary Retirement Savings: Choose from 401(k) pre‑tax and/or Roth after‑tax savings Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life Insurance Holistic Health & Well‑being programs Health Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Paid time off 12 paid holidays Paid Parental Leave (maternity & paternity) Educational Assistance Program Bonus Incentive Amrize is an equal opportunity employer.
