Blue Hills Nature Camp Medical Professional
Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. With the help of our 160,000 members and supporters, we protect wildlife, conserve and restore resilient land, advocate for impactful environmental policies, offer nationally recognized education programs for adults and children, and provide endless opportunities to experience the outdoors at our wildlife sanctuaries.
Mass Audubon Camps imagine a place where children can develop their interest in the outdoors, play together, and gain comfort and confidence in the natural world. That place is Mass Audubon's summer camp programs. Each day, campers explore and learn in nature, meet new friends, play games, and have fun! Do you want to share your love of nature and build community? Consider joining our camp staff!
Blue Hills Nature Camp is seeking a trained medical professional to provide healthcare, respond to medical needs, provide first aid, administer medications, and manage the health center for our summer camp program. The ideal candidate would have experience providing medical care in a hospital, clinic, EMS, school or camp setting and feel comfortable being the primary healthcare provider at camp. We aim to promote positive youth development, stewardship for the environment, and a respectful and inclusive safe space for all our campers and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer healthcare to staff and campers in accordance with your level of training; administer medications as appropriate

- Provide healthcare training and support to program staff throughout the camp season
- Maintain a clean, inviting healthcare center environment, including managing medication and supply inventories
- Create and maintain a physically and emotionally safe environment for all campers and make independent safety decisions
- Additional related duties may be requested
