In this Travel Orthodontic Assisting opportunity, you will support the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting during dental procedures, preparing instruments, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring and professional demeanor, ability to start within a month and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires travel between our offices (Federal Way, Puyallup and Silverdale). Schedule (days/hours) Tues-Th 8am-5pm Responsibilities Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that the ultimate patient experience is delivered to every patient. Place and remove arch wires, elastic ties, power chains, and other orthodontic auxiliaries (as allowed by state regulations). Educate the patients on orthodontic care, headgear delivery and rubber band instructions. Assist in patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, and taking full records to include Panoramic and Cephalometric x-rays. Maintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctor's notes accurately and assure home care instructions are clear to patients and/or guardian. Perform laboratory procedures including model pour up, trimming and fabricating clear aligners. Keep chairs stocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment.
