Preschool Teacher

About This Role Nellie's Treehouse is in search of a dedicated, full time, qualified Preschool teacher to work 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday in our Amherst location. This individual is responsible for preparing lesson plans, teaching age-appropriate content, and nurturing social emotional development. What You'll Do Lead Teacher is responsible for Crafting educational structures to allow students to learn Create strong home school bonds with parents and children Create and implement monthly plans to meet goals and objectives Observe students to ensure effective center based activities to support students learning Work cooperatively with co-teacher, administration, and coworkers Maintain a clean, safe and nurturing environment for children Have strong communication skills Understand NH State Licensing rules and regulations and adhere to them Have conflict resolutions skills and behavioral management techniques Supervise children during inside and outside play Requirements Must have a minimum of 18 credits in ECE, Associate Degree preferred Able to pass NH Background and FBI fingerprinting Have CPR and First Aid or willing to obtain Willingness to complete online health and safety trainings in first 90 days Able to complete 18 hours of professional development annually Experience a plus Passionate about working with and caring for children Nice To Haves Empathy Flexibility/Adaptability Organizational skills Patience Good Sense of Humor FUN Benefits Health Insurance Child Care Discount Professional Development Up to 80 hours of Paid Time Off Annually Bonuses offered About Us Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land. The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity. The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk.
