Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients.

This is a full-time, 40hr per week, benefitted position. Rotating schedule.

Retirement: Employee contributions are vested immediately. Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay savedfor a maximum match of 2% of pay.

Paid Time Off: Paid time off is accrued per pay period based on hours worked. This includes six paid holidays.

Shift Differential: 10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Answers Phones.
• Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
• Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines and/or robots (example: shelves, carousels, Parata).
• May assist with orienting and training pharmacy department staff.
• Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Assists in revising policy and procedure.
• Delivers meds to beds or patient care area
• Inpatient Only: Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintains the hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems.
• Outpatient Only: Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist.
• Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production.
• Processes third party claims.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required
• National Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification with PTCB or NHA required
