Immediate opening for an Assembly and Packaging Technician in Huntington Beach, CA who possesses:

• 1+ year of packaging, assembly, or related manufacturing experience
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment such as GMP, ISO, AS9100, food-grade manufacturing, or similar preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment and processes
• Strong hand dexterity and attention to detail
• Forklift certification or OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an Assembly and Packaging Technician to support the production, assembly, packaging, material handling, quality inspection, and documentation of foodware products. This role will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing items such as straws, cutlery, and other foodware products. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing or packaging experience, strong hand dexterity, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow standardized procedures while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Packing foodware products according to established SOPs and production requirements
• Wrapping straws and supporting other secondary packaging operations
• Transferring products between production process steps
• Tending production equipment and monitoring machine processes
• Reporting equipment or production issues to Shift Leads
• Moving packaging materials from storage areas to production workstations
• Monitoring raw material availability throughout each process step
• Moving finished goods from workstations to designated storage areas
• Loading finished products into shipping cartons
• Supporting trailer loading activities as needed
• Performing inline quality assurance checks throughout production
• Completing required process documentation accurately
• Monitoring and documenting downtime, scrap, machine conditions, and related process parameters
• Reporting required production and inventory data
• Completing material handling activities to maintain continuous process flow
• Supporting chipboard erection, raw material movement, pallet transfers, and related tasks
• Maintaining clean and organized workstations
• Completing daily safety inspections
• Performing routine preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment
• Following established food-grade GMP requirements
• Supporting production and process improvement activities
• Participating in cross-training activities to improve team flexibility
• Adapting to changing production and customer requirements
• Working effectively with team members to maintain production goals
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• 1+ year of packaging, assembly, manufacturing, or related production experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Good hand dexterity required for packing small foodware products
• Basic math skills required for production data collection and accurate product packing
• Basic mechanical aptitude required
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple production assignments
• Ability to follow written SOPs and production procedures required
• Ability to consistently meet safety expectations
• Ability and willingness to work under food-grade GMP requirements
• Experience in GMP, ISO, AS9100, FDA-regulated, food-grade, or similar regulated manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience operating or tending production equipment preferred
• Experience performing basic quality checks preferred
• Experience completing manufacturing or production documentation preferred
• Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance tasks preferred
• Forklift certification a plus
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus
• Strong attention to detail required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong reliability and attendance required
• Ability to work onsite in Huntington Beach, CA
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a production shift
• Ability to walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move throughout manufacturing areas as needed
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with assembly, packing, wrapping, inspecting, and handling small products
• Ability to maintain hand dexterity while performing detailed packaging and assembly tasks
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, and normal manufacturing hazards
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels
• Ability to wear required hearing protection and other PPE as needed
• Ability to visually inspect foodware products, packaging, machine conditions, and production documentation
• Ability to perform routine material handling and workstation cleaning tasks
• Ability to safely support basic preventative maintenance activities
• Ability to follow all applicable safety, quality, GMP, and manufacturing procedures
• Ability to maintain focus, accuracy, and productivity throughout the shift
