Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar • Proficient in C++ • Proficient in either Matlab or Python• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.• Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:o Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithmso Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulationsDesired Skills Candidate already possesses final DoD Secret clearance• Proficiency with Python and Linux• Experience with Agile development• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git• Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skillsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $75400.00 - $140000.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
