Auto Mechanic

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and maintain Company vehicles including cars, trucks (med & HD), offroad vehicles, construction equipment, and capital tools (pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic)
• Repair and maintain Compressed Natural Gas refueling facility
• Diagnose problems associated with the fleet vehicles and equipment including on-board computer diagnosis
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Perform Gas-Cam operations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent with Automotive or Diesel Technology experience or equivalent professional automotive work experience
• Valid driver's license
• Valid NYS inspection license for Light vehicles and Heavy vehicles
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
• Demonstrate computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and exceptional mechanical aptitude
• Ability to successfully work independently as well as within a team environment
• The successful candidate is responsible for providing their own tools up to 1"

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Commercial driver's license - Class A is preferable
• An associate's degree in automative technology or equivalent professional automative work experience
• ASE Certification

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


This is a position within the Company's collective bargaining unit with a starting rate of pay $44.37, 6 month $45.37, one year $47.76.
