Responsibilities Fabricate and weld structural steel components (frameworks, supports, platforms, equipment bases) using MIG, TIG, or Stick (SMAW) processes. Perform high‑quality pipe welding and fabrication for hydronic systems (preferred experience with ASME B31.1 or B31.3). Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, welding symbols, and specifications to ensure accurate layout, fit‑up, and assembly. Cut, bevel, fit, and assemble pipe and structural members using torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools. Conduct visual inspections and basic non‑destructive testing to meet AWS, ASME, and project quality standards. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, safe work environment. Follow all shop safety policies and procedures, use PPE, and maintain good housekeeping. Collaborate with pipefitters, mechanics, foremen, and production team to meet deadlines and quality requirements.
