What you will do: Drafting, negotiating and advising stakeholders with respect to commercial contracts using SEI templates and standards Independently manage routine contract matters and negotiations, seeking guidance on more complex or higher-risk issues as appropriate Educating internal clients with respect to the positions and issues that arise during contractual negotiations Working with internal clients to solve legal, risk and business issues that arise in commercial transactions Understanding and applying regulatory changes to new and existing contracts Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects and transactions Participating in various activities related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and third-party risk management Populating and maintaining contract files and repositories Assist with the development and refinement of contract templates, playbooks and other legal resources What we need from you: To be considered candidates must demonstrate the following to the satisfaction of SEI: Works with moderate supervision, handling routine matters independently Demonstrates a solid understanding of commercial contracting and related legal principles Exercises sound judgment and appropriately escalates unusual, novel or higher-risk issues Effectively collaborates across legal and business teams Produces reliable, accurate and practical work product Experience in transactional/corporate matters Ability to effectively prioritize work and business needs Comfort with a dynamic, often-changing environment Detail oriented, flexible and a collaborative team player A high degree of multi-tasking capability Strong written and verbal communication skills Authorization to practice law in one or more jurisdictions within the United States Willingness to travel, if necessary Attributes we value: Hardworking Smart Effective Solution-Oriented Team Player High Integrity/Ethics Good Communicator/Listener Sound Judgment Dedicated to Self-Improvement Self-Aware Open-Minded Thoughtful Someone who will embody our SEI Values of courage, integrity, collaboration, inclusion, connection and fun Please see our website for more information.
