Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Overland Park, KS. The individual in this role will implement ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), delivering 1:1 therapy in clinic, home, or school settings. Daily responsibilities include collecting and recording behavioral data, supporting skill-building in communication, self-help, social interaction, and play, and assisting with behavior reduction strategies. The technician will collaborate with clinical team members, participate in team meetings and trainings, and communicate progress and concerns to supervisors and caregivers. The role also involves maintaining a safe, engaging environment for clients, adhering to ethical guidelines, and following all organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis for implementing treatment plans and understanding behavioral principles. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with children, families, and clinical teams, and to document progress clearly. Candidates should possess Behavioral Intervention skills to support behavior reduction, skill acquisition, and crisis prevention in a structured setting. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Psychology to understand developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs of neurodivergent individuals. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred. Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental differences, in clinical, educational, or caregiving environments is beneficial. Ability to follow clinical direction, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, child-centered setting.
