Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care UnitSchedule: Ratio: 1:5 - Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday). Must work at least 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, and 2 Sundays within that period. Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed.Assignment Details: Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.Requirements: 2 years RN experience required. Active RN license in state or Nurse Compact license required. BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred. Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Previous travel experience preferred.Roles & Responsibilities: Provide high-level nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care/telemetry setting. Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions. Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including cardiac drips (without titration), IV therapy, and blood product administration. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Participate in rapid response and code team scenarios. Manage and care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to heart failure, stroke, and respiratory failure.Compliance / Notes: Flu vaccine is required; medical/religious exemptions allowed. Pre-start modules: 10–15 hours total; due Monday one week prior to start. Orientation includes EMR/EPIC modules. Infusion pump and glucometer training required before start.
