Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - PICUSeeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to provide high-quality care for young patients. The role requires a strong background in respiratory therapy and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.This position involves a night shift schedule of 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts, working every other weekend.Certification RequirementsAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Basic Life Support (BLS)National Board for Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC RRT)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required for assignments in Labor & Delivery, can be obtained once offeredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferredLicensing RequirementsAn Indiana State License is required for this position. Temporary licenses are accepted but candidates must have applied for both temporary and permanent licenses.Experience RequirementsMust have recent L&D experience as the primary assignment will involve L&D.Minimum of 2 years of pediatric intensive care experience is required.Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years is necessary.Skillset RequirementsExperience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and knowledge of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) processes are required. The assigned home unit will be determined based on facility needs but may be in NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics.Floating RequirementsThe role may entail floating to ancillary units, including NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics, depending on the demands of the facility.Additional InformationPlease be aware that effective November 30, 2024, restrictions will apply regarding the employment of Indiana Registered Nurses at certain facilities. Specific exceptions exist for roles in perioperative settings and other allied health areas.
