Cafe Associate

Overview Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr. This range is provided by Sam's Club. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Be a Team Member Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborates with cross-functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicates effectively with team members; and is flexible to work in other areas as needed. Be an Expert Prepares food according to item specifications; plans for future productions and mass productions; prepares for seasonality; adheres to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; and demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution. Be a Techie Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizes handheld technology for production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them. Be an Owner Drives area performance; stocks and rotates merchandise; ensures quality and date control; eliminates waste; provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assists members with purchasing decisions; handles payment types; locates merchandise; and resolves member issues and concerns. Be a Talent Ambassador Brand advocate; develops, influences and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented style; helps remove roadblocks and supports training. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; uses the Open Door Policy; and applies these in executing business processes and practices. Completes work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; and adapts to change and feedback.
