Travel RN – Neurology / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a 32-bed Neurology/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license – must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1 (declinations not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Neurology experience
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited for a fast-paced neurology/telemetry environment
