Oracle GoldenGate Engineer

Salary: $104,000 - 114,400 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• We need 5 to 8 years of practical experience with Oracle GoldenGate in production environments, including setup, administration, and ongoing monitoring.
• We require strong expertise in log-based Change Data Capture, Oracle redo/archive log mining, and supplemental logging.
• We are seeking solid SQL and database skills across Oracle and DB2, with experience supporting large-scale, high-volume transactional environments with 500+ tables.
• We value familiarity with managed services SLA expectations, ITSM practices such as ServiceNow, and established production support standards.

• We design, implement, and support Oracle GoldenGate CDC pipelines that replicate enterprise source tables such as claims, membership, provider, enrollment, and encounter data from Oracle OLTP systems into enterprise ODS landing zones in near real time.
• We configure and oversee the full GoldenGate lifecycle, including Extract for log-based CDC, Data Pump for trail file movement across the network, and Replicat for applying DML changes to target databases.
• We monitor replication stability across active pipelines by tracking lag, managing trail files, controlling disk usage, and proactively responding to Extract and Replicat failures.
• We tune GoldenGate performance through Extract parallelism, Replicat threading, HANDLECOLLISIONS settings, and target database bulk-apply optimization.
• We manage replication for large table sets, maintaining table-level configurations, handling DDL replication, and supporting schema change updates.
• We implement conflict detection and resolution strategies for multi-source replication environments using HANDLECOLLISIONS, REPERROR handling, and custom resolution routines.
