Description: The AM Cook Assistant prepares meals for patients, staff and visitors. He/she serves patients and is involved in clean up. The AM Cook Assistant has responsibility for washing dishes, operating the dish machine, and doing assigned cleaning. He/she puts away dishes, stocks items, and helps in the cafeteria.
Number of Hours: Full-time: 32-40 hours/week
Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm or 7:00am - 3:00pm, every other weekend and holiday and fill-in as needed. May cross-train to other shifts.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma desired. He/she must take a modified diet and sanitation course provided through the dietary department.
Other: The applicant must have good customer service skills, be willing to fill in as needed and be a team player. He/she must be well organized and able to follow directions. Cooking experience a plus.
