Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 1 year minimum required License: NY license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placing IVs. Description: The PACU unit is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team. The position requires experience in Phase I and Phase II PACU. Candidates should have experience with endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. Knowledge of general, orthopedic, spine, and total joint surgeries is essential. The role involves providing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. RNs will participate in a schedule with 2 weekend call shifts per month. The position may require help with phlebotomy and IV administration. The environment supports interdisciplinary teamwork and patient-centered care. RNs will be responsible for monitoring and assessing patient recovery. Emergency response skills, including CPR and cardiac arrest management, are required. Candidates will float to different areas as needed. A strong understanding of medication management and patient assessment is a must. Familiarity with electronic charting systems is necessary.
